PHILLIP ISLAND TESTING: How to follow the final preseason testing days before the season kicks off
Rainy weather in Jerez and Portimao have made the upcoming final tests crucial to the teams as they contend with new rules, new components and new riders!
2025’s MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is just days away from lights out in the season premier Australian Round at the historic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Prior to any of the weekend’s competitions however, first this week the final preseason test days are set to take place on Monday February 17th and Tuesday February 18th, providing a crucial final opportunity for teams to conduct final troubleshooting for their packages. These tests will be the most important of the pre-season, as not only will all teams be present, but due to dour weather conditions, previous tests in Jerez and Portimao were largely limited to half days, and the few teams that eked out a full day of testing saw times hampered and multiple seconds off of race pace at their fastest. View the complete test schedule across the two days HERE!
Once the test begins, our Free Live Timing page will be at your disposal, giving you the latest information from the track on your favorite riders, including pace leader, number of laps ran and timing gaps between riders in front and riders behind them. After the events, stay tuned here on the WorldSBK site as there will be after-the-action reports after each day, summarizing the key takeaways from the test. Supplementing this coverage, we will be posting interviews and highlights from the riders and their exploits on track, available here on our website as well as on the official WorldSBK social media accounts for more clips, posts and news!
